Our delivery model blends in-person relational teaching with carefully structured online learning, allowing students to engage with education in ways that feel manageable and supportive.
This approach allows us to:
- Gradually reintroduce learners to structured education
- Reduce overwhelm for students with anxiety or demand avoidance
- Maintain continuity of learning when attendance is inconsistent
- Develop digital learning independence
- Create personalised pacing and learning schedules
Face-to-face sessions focus on relationship building, regulation, and guided learning, while online sessions provide structured curriculum content and independent learning opportunities.
Many of the learners we support experience difficulties with executive functioning, including organisation, task initiation, emotional regulation, planning, and working memory.
Cirque Education embeds executive functioning development within everyday learning through:
- Structured routines and predictable learning environments
- Scaffolding and step-by-step task breakdown
- Visual learning supports and organisational tools
- Coaching in planning, time management, and goal setting
- Regulation strategies to support emotional and cognitive readiness to learn
By strengthening these skills, students develop the confidence and independence needed to progress in education, training, and future employment.
While engagement and wellbeing are central to our work, Cirque Education also focuses on ensuring learners achieve recognised qualifications and meaningful outcomes.
Programmes can include:
- Functional Skills English and Maths
- Arts Award qualifications
- Personal development programmes such as ASDAN
- Creative and project-based learning pathways
- Preparation for further education, training, or employment
Each programme is designed to ensure learners build both academic progress and transferable life skills.
Cirque Education is underpinned by trauma-informed and relational practice, recognising that many learners require strong, trusting relationships before they are able to engage in learning.
Our approach focuses on:
- Building positive relationships with trusted adults
- Supporting emotional regulation and wellbeing
- Developing learner confidence and self-belief
- Creating safe and supportive learning environments
This approach helps learners move from disengagement to participation, allowing them to rebuild a positive relationship with education.
Our goal is to help young people develop the skills, confidence, and qualifications needed for their next step.
For some learners this may include:
- Reintegration into mainstream or specialist education
- Transition into college or post-16 provision
- Progression into vocational pathways or employment
- Increased independence and readiness for adulthood
Cirque Education provides a structured bridge between disengagement and meaningful participation in education, ensuring that even the most hard-to-reach learners are supported to achieve their potential.
